Director of
Power Electronics

HEVO is a leading developer of wireless charging systems for electric vehicles - headquartered in Brooklyn.
We are seeking an experienced director of power electronics engineer devoted to our core values of Honesty, Empathy, Vision and Optimism. The candidate will be responsible for various assigned projects, demonstrating  the ability to develop from conceptualization to completion of serial production while interfacing with other departments in this cross functional role. The candidate must be capable of working in New York City.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and submit research/design/simulation and evaluation studies in powerelectronics converter and
  associated systems for wireless charging, DC to DC, DC to AC,and AC to DC systems for electric vehicles
• Design and evaluate systems for dynamic charging applications
• Conduct detailed simulations to determine and improve efficiency of power electronics and complete subsytems
• Develop a parking alignment system. Hands on work in design of power electronics components and subsytems
• Assist CTO in establishing Company’s technical vision and all aspects of the company’s hardware and software
  technological product development
• Assist CTO in supervising engineering, mobile application, telematics, andcloud development
• Take senior ownership in managing hardware and software engineers
• Conduct research andcase studies on leading edge technologies and make determinations on the probability of
  implementation
• Will supervise one Senior Embedded Software Engineer
• Will travel to various locations throughout New York.

Qualifications and Experience

• All candidates must have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and 2 years of experience as a Research and
  Development Engineer or as an Electrical Engineer
